"Snippets" are mini-articles - they allow me to very quickly add answers to your frequently asked questions, and add brief explanations for topics that you've searched for without success. So, everytime you send an email or perform a search, chances are a new snippet will be the result!

3 Oct: Q&A;: Why do I get "Save this file to disk?" when running ASP?

I've just started to use IIS 4 on my NT workstation. So here's my problem; I've installed an ASP site on the /ftproot but how do I preview in a browser. I only get "save file to disk", when trying to see what I'm actually working on, for instance default.asp.

Make sure your site is in a folder setup as a web site, and then access your site using http://localhost/sitename..

See here how to set up your folder correctly.
