Called "REALLY validate your email addresses" it discusses how I now use the COM objects from Hexillion.com to perform serious validation of all email addresses on the site. Syntax checking, DNS checking and SMTP checking are all available - the latter even asking the relevant mailserver if it knows the user in question! Worth checking out!
